Confusing, YES! Special, YES! Meant to be, YES! Without too much explanation... although we are already married, we are now engaged... soon to have a wedding. When we got married last January, we did not have a wedding or anything else traditional... we simply got married. So now, we are planning to get married in a church with the blessing of the Lord and all of our family and friends.
It was an amazing and very special weekend! Brant and I took a trip to Santa Barbara to celebrate the ONE year mark of being married. Much to my surprise, Brant had much more planned. Friday night (after his tattoo session), we went to dinner and he gave me two charms for my Pandora bracelet. Since he wanted his proposal to be a surprise, he was hoping that the two charms would throw me off. Although we had been discussing a "real wedding" for quite a while, I had NO IDEA. After dinner we went down to the beach. I have this "thing" I do when we go to the sand or snow, I will write, "I love Brant." As I was finishing my sand-work, I felt him come up behind me and wrap his arms around me. I turned around and he said to me, "You know that I love you... (and then he got down on one knee and pulled out a box) and I want to spend the rest of my life with you... forever and always, will you marry me?" OMG! I was overwhelmed with emotion... completely shocked, surprised... and to be honest couldn't really beleive it. My response, "YES, of course... I love you too!"
It was so sweet in every way. He went on to tell me how he spoke with my dad and got his permission before asking me to take his hand in marriage. He also told me how after he bought the ring how he looked at it everyday because he wanted to make sure that it was the PERFECT ring. Oh,and it is!!! I am incredibly grateful for him, he makes me feel so special and I LOVE his old fashion ways.
After the beach we went to "The Press Room." There, we talked about LIFE & LOVE. The entire evening was filled with unforgettable moments and beautiful conversation that I will remember forever.

On Saturday, aside from admiring my beautiful ring, I got tattooed! That evening we were in bed at 7:00pm. On Sunday we drove to Pismo Beach to see my aunt, uncle, and my cousins. We were hoping to do some deep sea fishing, but none of the boats were going out.
My tattoo... right arm all the lining for my SLEEVE!

Each flower on my arm represents the month each of our boys were born & the month Brant was born
