World Cancer Day

Today, Friday, January 21, 2011 is World Cancer Day. This is in memory of our moms, dads, brothers, sisters, friends, and loved ones of whom are so many and in HONOR of those fighting the beast.
Dear God, I pray for a cure for cancer. Amen.

Duck Hunting

Brant absolutely loves hunting and will take advantage of any opportunity he may have to do just that! On a couple of different days he decided to do some hunting around Bakersfield, on some canals and ponds. Sadly, I missed out, but he certainly brought home some proof of his hard work and dedication. He shot some beautiful Mallards and a couple Buffleheads. I decided to take some pictures of the not so pleasant part of hunting... cleaning the ducks! Oh, and I took part in this... I cleaned my very first duck! I really LOVE learning and taking part in all aspects of the hunting experience, and above all we are making some wonderful memories. Thanks honey!

Get a Little Mud on the Tires!!!

It was time for a little target shooting... So, Brant, me, Frankie, and their friend Kenny went out to one of our favorite spots. We planned on getting some mud on the tires, but we didn't plan on getting stuck... for THREE hours! I decided to take the video camera out after lots of digging, gathering of debris, and anything else we could find that could possibly help in gaining some traction to get out of the MUD! Here is a clip of the success and some pics...
